"In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela"[4] is the ninetieth episode of Futurama, the second of the sixth production season and the seventh broadcast season. It is scheduled to air 24 June 2010 on Comedy Central, together with "Rebirth".[1][2]
The Story
In a recent interview David X. Cohen discusses the story line coming from so called "Matt Groening's brainchild", in which Zapp Brannigan and Leela getting stranded on a Garden of Eden planet. Zapp and Leela begin stranded on this beautiful Garden of Eden planet and they’re naked and wearing fig leaves immediately in the start of the episode.[5]
Storyboard
- Main article: Storyboard:In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela
A storyboard released from act 12 of "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela" previews a scene possibly entitled "Undressing". Leela is lying on the floor with her legs trapped under a log, saying her suit is making her sweat. Zapp suggests to strip them off and the scene ends with Leela stripping her suit off.[6] This is the same scene shown in the second promotional picture for the episode, in which Leela and Zapp have already stripped their suits off.
Production
By 20 August, 2009, the writing of this episode was ready for its table reading.[7] According to Maurice LaMarche, Craig Ferguson will guest star in this episode.[3]
This episode and the fourth episode of the sixth season will also feature some more coarse language, that would previously not be possible on FOX.[8] Some people wonder if this could hurt Futurama's possible return to FOX.[8]
