C. Randall Poopenmeyer is a male Human and the Mayor of New New York since at least the year 3000. He is attending to countless public occasions, like the opening of a new tube line, the reward of civic heroism, or the Annual Astor Endowment Fundraiser. In spite of his marriage to Mrs. Poopenmeyer, the Mayor seems rather promiscuous, being often seen with other women, such as the Royalty Girl. However, he may have just been showing the visiting dignitary around the city as one of his duties.

Mayor Poopenmeyer is often portrayed as incompetent and corrupt, rather unintelligent, bribable and a pushover, especially in "The Mutants Are Revolting", where he obviously goes along with whatever his largest campaign contributor tells him to do.

As the Mayor of New New York, C. Randall Poopenmeyer helped save Earth from the giant garbage ball (1ACV08), opened new tube lines to alleviate rush hour traffic in the city (2ACV08), gave Bender the award for the biggest fish ever caught (2ACV12), took a part in the execution of the death penalty of Robots (3ACV03), was the main customer of the New Justice Team (4ACV04), attended Fry's opera (4ACV18), mated with a planet-sized monster (TBWABB), attended the Violet Dwarf Star Implosion ceremony (ITWGY), hosted the 3010 edition of the Annual e-Waste Recycling Festival, wherein citizens were encouraged to throw out old electronic appliances (6ACV03), and finally granted the Sewer Mutants their freedom (6ACV12).

Additional Info

  • He is similar to Mayor Joe Quimby from The Simpsons is several aspects.
  • His name was only created as a joke. When the giant garbage ball was about to destroy Earth in "A Big Piece of Garbage" (a very serious situation), they cut to Mayor Poopenmeyer (a very non-serious name).
  • His full name is first mentioned aloud in the episode "Raging Bender".
