The Sargaseous Sea is a sea in space. Shipwrecks are very common there. In 3013, the crew went to the sea to find Bender's shiny metal ass (7ACV21).

The Sargaseous Sea was first seen in a preview clip for broadcast season 10, in February 2013. [2] It was also featured in a promotional picture released by Countdown to Futurama, in May. [1]
