Ronald M. "Ron" Popeil is an American inventor and marketing personality who voiced his own head in a jar in the episode "A Big Piece of Garbage". He is best known as the founder and spokesman for the direct response marketing company Ronco. He began his career as a door-to-door salesman for his father Samuel, selling kitchen-related products such as the Veg-O-Matic. Ron Popeil began recording himself demonstrating his father's inventions which led to his career as a pitchman, which led to fame and has spanned from the 1950s to the present. He has marketed many of his inventions under the Ronco brand, including the Pocket Fisherman, the Electric Food Dehydrator, and the Showtime Rotisserie.
