Description

Slurm, the number-one soft drink of the future, is refreshingly addictive. It is produced in a factory on the planet Wormulon by a race known only as the Slurm Worms. Their corporate mascot is Slurms MacKenzie, "The Original Party Worm."

Fry is a huge Slurm addict fan, and rarely goes more than 12 minutes without one.

Creation

Throughout the tour, Glurmo is very evasive about the nature of the secret ingredient. After exploring the factory's off-limits areas, the crew discovers that the drink is actually produced by a giant Slurm Worm, known as the Slurm Queen. She secretes the Slurm through an orifice in the end of her tail, much the way bees secrete honey. In fact, this is so similar that Slurm Queens produce "Royal Slurm" much as queen bees can produce royal jelly, which, if eaten, changes a larval bee into a queen. This disgusting revelation leads the Professor to attempt to get the Slurm banned, but Fry is so addicted, that he foils this attempt, and continues drinking Slurm whenever possible.
