Episode

The time shelter is a cavern-like hiding place created by the professor. It is coated with anti-chroniton-resistant grout, to shield the user from the effects of the professor's time button. If the user leaves the shelter and the button gets pressed less than ten seconds later, the anti-chronitons will not know where to send them back to, which will cause the user to be disintegrated.

In 3013, the professor showed the shelter to the rest of the crew. [7ACV26] He demonstrated its effectiveness by using the button to steal a ten-dollar bill from Zoidberg. Bender, the professor, Hermes, Zoidberg, and Amy later walked to the tallest building in New New York inside the shelter. The professor then left the shelter, but the button was pressed and he was disintegrated.

Production

The time shelter was first seen in a piece of concept art, released by Countdown to Futurama, in June 2013. [1] It was also featured in the Comic-Con reading for 7ACV26, in July. [2]
