The Sol System is the home star system of Humans, Martians and Neptunians. The System's host star, Sol, is a fairly typical middle-aged yellow star that formed ca. 4.5 billion years ago. This star has a collection of 8 planets orbiting it, most with their own moons, as well as dwarf planets and an uncountable number of other, minor satellites.
