A plausibility unit is used to measure plausibility of a theory, hypothesis or scenario. The exact scale is unknown, but according to Leela, accuracy of 1/10 of a plausibility unit is "so plausible I can't believe it".

The plausibility unit was first mentioned by Professor Farnsworth in Anthology of Interest II, when explaining how accurate his What-If Machine is.
