Charles de Gaulle was a French general and President of the French Republic. He freed France from the Nazis during World War II. In the 31st century, he lives at the Head Museum in New New York. He appears at the Head Museum after Hermes was decapitated, when Fry picks up Charles and pretends to be him. He is seen again while Lars and Leela are walking through the Head Museum.
He attends the Turanga-Fillmore wedding along with Leonard Nimoy and a few other heads. After Hermes got his doomed body crushed by a chandelier, Charles and Hermes had to share a jar for the time being. Charles also appears in the montage at the end of Bender's Big Score when Fry becomes Lars Fillmore and gets a job at the Head Museum, where he shakes hands with him. He also attended his funeral.
