The public address announcer was the never-seen DOOP official responsible for disseminating information over the DOOP camp's public address system during the Battle of Spheron 1. The announcer talked to the camp at least twice; the first time to inform them of incoming wounded (including Bender, who was injured in an explosion), and the second time to relay the planetary evacuation order after Bender was rigged with a planet-destroying explosive (2ACV17).

• The character is voiced by Todd Susman, and is a reference to his role as one of the two never-seen PA announcers on the television series M*A*S*H.
