Template talk:Etmp

This is my replacement for the now malfunctioning e template. This one uses more conventional methods, which is simply just referring to template where the information is stored, rather than using "advanced" methods like {{#switch:}}}, which by the way is not fully 'developed'. Now it only uses #if and #ifexist, which are pretty simplistic boolean calls.

For these reasons, it has also become a slightly different than previous use. This one requires special input for films and special episodes, e.g. f= for films and s= for special episodes (you can see this in the usage in the examples).

I know some may ask, why not just use the elink/flink/esplink templates instead? For a simplistic reason, we would prefer as much control over this as possible, and keeping all these links in an environment where we can control them. As of right now, the "wrong" link is superscripted, but once all these templates have been created, this part will be removed, and only "???" will appear when supplying information the template does not "understand". Not worry, by the way, cause previewing the article will supply the links it assume it would be in its "Templates included in this article" list.

If you like it, I will also create this for the c template. --SvipTalk 16:48, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
