Matt Groening is a cartoonist, screenwriter and producer mostly famous for creating The Simpsons in the late 20th century. He seems to live in the Head Museum (1ACV01), went to Neptune to escape the Scammer Aliens (BBS), and attended the Violet Dwarf Star Implosion ceremony (ITWGY). In year 3010 Groening created Futurella with David X. Cohen, which is shown at Comic-Con 3010 but it is immediately canceled by Fox (6ACV11). As of 3010, he is still being bugged about a second Simpsons movie (6ACV11). He possesses a special jar which has a built-in laser weapon, which he used on Bender after Bender queries him about the second Simpsons movie (6ACV11).

- Similar to how, in "Lrrreconcilable Ndndifferences", Matt is only recognized as the creator of The Simpsons, in his cameo appearance in the season 15 Simpsons episode "My Big Fat Geek Wedding", he is only recognized as the creator of Futurama.
