Hey, some one should probably check out what the quote exactly was between Fry and Gore. I think Fry said something like "I thought your sole purpose was to cast the tie breaking vote".

VP Action Rangers

Al Gore never actually met Fry while he was Vice President, as this was in a video created by the What-If Machine. ProfessorBlank 23:16, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

True. Does the article say otherwise? --SvipTalk 23:18, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Yes. "[In the 21st Century,] Al Gore was leader of the Vice Presidential Action Rangers . Other members included Stephen Hawking, Nichelle Nichols, Gary Gygax, and Deep Blue..." — Chris of the Futurama 2 [ discuss | contribute ] 00:16, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
That's not it. Mr Blank here is claiming that the article says that Al Gore met Fry on 1 January, 2000 (which we all know did not happen outside of the what-if scenario), but I could not find such a statement in the original version. The statement you make (your [] is wrong, by the way, it is the 20th century, the 1990s were pretty much in that century) seems to suggest that Al Gore was not the leader of the Vice Presidential Action Rangers. While meeting Fry certainly is not true, there is no evidence to suggest that this group did not exist during this time. All the difference is that there was nothing to destroy the universe. --SvipTalk 00:20, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Split?

It is getting somewhat clumpersum to deal with both the voice actor (i.e. the actual Al Gore) and the character (his fictional history) in a single article without it being awkward. I am therefore suggesting splitting them up, either this way;

Or:

Or perhaps even (with a disambigious page):

Reactions? Note, I am considering the same measure for other articles of an actor/ess playing themself in a larger recurring role. I assume Al Gore is the most prominent. --Sviptalk 21:53, 9 March 2010 (CET)

IMO, it should be Al Gore and Al Gore (voice actor). --I'm Scruffy... the Janitor. 22:28, 9 March 2010 (CET)
Well, since the actor is less likely to be the target of a search than the character and there are no other Al Gore's that have been seen or mentioned I'm going to agree with Scruffy. - Quolnok 23:59, 9 March 2010 (CET)
