Melllvar is a energy being living in his mother's basement on Omega 3, and a giant fan of Star Trek ever since he found the remains of the series that had been sent away from Earth after the Star Trek wars. He is such a big fan, that he once captured the original Star Trek cast and forced them into a special Star Trek convention, before they were saved by the Planet Express Crew (4ACV11). Despite claiming to know more about the series than anyone, he lost a trivia contest to Fry.
