Not to be confused with the Anti-backwards Crystal.

The Die of Power was forged by Momon in the The Geysers of Gygax to establish ultimate power into one die. The Die came onto Frydo, who, with the help of the Fellowship went to destroy it and defeat Momon, but ultimately failed.

The Die of Power is Cornwood's version of the anti-backwards crystal, which had been drawn with numbers on it to be used as a die outside of Cornwood.

The Die uses the Appendix G when rolled to determine the result of the roll. The Die of Power is by position and name a reference to Ring of Power (also known as the One Ring) from Lord of the Rings.

Trivia

  • Futurama executive producer David X. Cohen, and editors Paul D. Calder and Danik Thomas voiced the choir of the Die, with each roll. None of them are registered with the Screen Actors' Guild (SAG), and thus could not use their voices in the movie. To get around this, they instead recorded it as a "song" and then licensed it for use in the movie for a fee.
  • According to Appendix G, rolling a 7 activates Banish Foes, a 3, Grow and a 12 means Mirror Mania.
