Chu is one of Wernstrom's graduate students and also one of Colleen's boyfriends. He was first mentioned in A Big Piece of Garbage when Wernstrom said he needed "5 graduate students; at least one Chinese". He competes for Wernstrom's team in the Deathball match against Farnsworth's team, particularly Fry.
