I've been thinking about the Infosphere:Current events page lately, as you may have noticed it is a little non-current. Perhaps it could be re-purposed. I'm thinking a hybrid of current happenings at the Infosphere and in the world of Futurama. This won't be the things we normally put in news, but events or releases that are upcoming or areas of the site to work on (these areas do overlap a great deal). The Recasting ploy article could be linked in such a page, as well as a list of which comics, figures and other merchandise is out soon for the various regions as well as episode production and broadcast. - Quolnok 14:08, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Indeed. And perhaps linking to the "current events" article from right under the news section on the Main Page. --SvipTalk 14:11, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I think there's space for that. - Quolnok 14:24, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
I assume in a matter of prioritising, Futurama related events should be before Infosphere related events, right? Perhaps divide each into two subsections: Current events and upcoming events. Current events for Futurama could include the recasting ploy (with a short summary) and upcoming events could include such as the Futurama cast being scheduled for the Animation Supercon in October and obviously the upcoming season 6. Regardless of the recasting ploy, I am going with season 6 still happening. Unless; of course, we hear some news to the contrary. --SvipTalk 14:41, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Yes that's the kind of thing I was going for, conventions and the new episodes are of particular interest at the moment. I'm sure transcripts of commentaries and the few remaining article-less commentaries could fit current for the Infosphere and I'll sneak feature nominations into future. Like the news section, this should change around as time passes or the "current" part of the name will be wrong. - Quolnok 15:04, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
I tried to update it somewhat, but still not near enough. Perhaps someone else can do a better job at this? --SvipTalk 17:52, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Tired. - Quolnok 13:59, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
