I just noticed that Rich Little's Head is a tertiary charecter. Because he appeared in Raging Bender and Bender's Game, doesn't that mean he is a secondary charecter?-- the preceding unsigned comment was written by 86.63.29.162.

You are moving onto a topic we've discussed times and times again. Secondary characters are characters that play important parts in one or more plots (but may also be characters that appear so often, that they are almost like an integrated part, e.g. Hattie). Tertiary characters, on the other hand, are characters that appear once or twice (or perhaps even thrice), but never play an active part in moving the plot forward.

Rich Little is an example of this. His commentating in "Raging Bender" and Bender's Game is entertaining, yes, but hardly plot important. It's a fine line in some cases. But the regular method of secondy v. tertiary (e.g. more episodes appearances v. a single) simple does not give the required respect to some characters, for instance Steve Castle could never be anything but a tertiary character, but I believe his importance in "Future Stock" means in my mind that he should be a secondary character. So the description of these types were changed. I am unsure that the pages have been updated to state this fact. --Svip 10:54, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
