Basil was the cousin of Robo-Hungarian Emperor Nikolai, and the leader of the Royal Guard. He secretly had an affair with the Emperor's fiancée for 700 years before attempting assassination on him in 3010, or, in actuality, Bender, who changed bodies with him prior to their duel. He was ultimately killed by the Professor and his fellow Robot Clowns in the UN building.
