The Yarn People is according to Zapp Brannigan a strange looking alien species. Their appearance gave him the idea that the over-sized scissor Leela and her crew had bought to the opening of the new DOOP Headquarters were to assassinate them as part of a neutral plot.
It is possible that they are entirely made of string.

Trivia
- When we first see the Yarn People, they are of a purple nature, but later they appear to be of more pale colour. Whether that may be a different Yarn Person, and they all have different colours is unknown.
