The wedding of Turanga Leela and Lars Fillmore occured December 27, 3007 at 4 P.M. The wedding occurred just 3 days after Lars' proposal, at the First Amalgamated Church's New New York branch. The hors d'oeuvres were provided by Elzar and included Crud Puffs and a Schlimp Cocktail. Fry was jealous of Lars marrying Leela and attempted to stop the ceremony by switching the pen used for signing the wedding license with a fake, inkless one. (However, the ceremony was unaffected because Lars had an extra pen.) Then, Hermes was hit by chandelier that fell. His body was fatally electrocuted, but his head was saved. Ethan 'Bubblegum' Tate then noted that Hermes' body was doomed because it was a time paradox duplicate. This inexplicably caused Lars to get scared and call off the wedding.
