:What other than the name would be a reference?  Cause other than that, it is quite an obscure reference and may just be a coincidence.  Besides, his name is never spoken out as "H. G. Blob" on the show, so the joke wouldn't really exist.  So I am very sceptical about the reference, and I just think it is a coincidence.  If it was a reference, they would have made more out of it for sure. --'''[[User:Svip|Svip]]'''[[User talk:Svip|Talk]] 17:38, 12 May 2008 (PDT)

H. G.

I know that the H. G. in H. G. Blob stands for Horrible Gelatinous, but I was thinking that it could be a tribute to H. G. Wells, the author of The War of the Worlds. Does anybody share my opinion? Ketchuphed

What other than the name would be a reference? Cause other than that, it is quite an obscure reference and may just be a coincidence. Besides, his name is never spoken out as "H. G. Blob" on the show, so the joke wouldn't really exist. So I am very sceptical about the reference, and I just think it is a coincidence. If it was a reference, they would have made more out of it for sure. --SvipTalk 17:38, 12 May 2008 (PDT)
