Discussion

If you have made your way over to the Pool Wiki or tried to upload an image within the last two minutes of writing, you would probably have noticed that uploading is no longer possible. They have been disabled due to extreme lack of disk space on the server; and no disk space ain't good, people. While the HD images and such are good, and we should use them, MediaWiki creates a lot of versions of these (thumbs, previews, etc.), which takes up space quick. So to avoid any current further issues, I have temporarily disabled uploads.

I do apologise for the inconvenience, and we are working on getting some diskspace sorted out. I suspect this might be in force for one or two days. But should most certainly be down before the next episode airs. --Sviptalk 01:29, 10 July 2010 (CEST)

Uploads reenabled! After some analysis, I discovered that the logs from apache were getting pretty high. Anyway, I have now configured logrotate correctly, so it doesn't keep 52 weeks worth of logs, but only 7. And I deleted a lot of old logs, so we now have 9GB+ available disk space. It is thus safe to allow people to upload again. However, I am still performing my disk analysis, and maybe will find other data to delete. --Sviptalk 14:33, 10 July 2010 (CEST)
