The Statue of Liberty was a present from France in 1886 to the United States of America to celebrate the USA's 100th birthday. In the 31st century, the Statue of Liberty remains in the bay outside New New York.

By the year 10000, the Statue of Liberty has fallen, like many other statues similar to it that were constructed by different societies inhabiting Earth, such as the ape statue, the bird statue, the cow statue, and maybe the slug statue.

• The object in her hand changes from appearance to appearance. In the opening sequence, she holds a laser pistol, while in "Space Pilot 3000", she holds up part of the tube system, and in "When Aliens Attack" as well as on a picture in "Godfellas", in "Attack of the Killer App" and in "The Late Philip J. Fry", she holds her regular torch.
• The falling of the ape statue is a reference to Planet of the Apes.
• When the Omicronians invaded Earth for the third time, an Omicronian version was seen in New New York. It's unknown whether they rebuilt the Statue of Liberty or constructed a new one.
