The satellite dish was used by the Professor to help transmit a purity chant in a last-ditch attempt to prevent a death sphere known as V-GINY from destroying Earth. [6ACV02] However, whilst transmitting, Bender snuck away from the group and began having sexual intercourse with the satellite, further angering V-GINY.
