Randy Munchnik first appeared in "I, Roommate" as a member of the mob seeking to get Bender evicted from the building. John DiMaggio thought "he needed to be heard" and gave him an effeminate voice. He owns the jewellery store Diamonds Are Forever and lives in a rent controlled apartment. He is also seen coaching a maternity water aerobics class in "Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love?". He is presumed gay, but in some episodes he is seen with a woman. He and his life partner built an ark with all same sex animals when the ice caps melted.
