Mort is a deceased tramp from the 20th-century. He was killed by a Bendernator looking for Fry. Not much is known about Mort apart from the fact that he predicted that there was a society run by mechanical brethren. He obviously lost his leg because if you look closely, you can see that he has a wooden leg. He also seemed to want revenge on non-belivers who called him mad.
