Mildred Fry worked at Joe's Malt in Roswell in 1947. She was engaged to Fry's grandfather Enos until he was killed in an atomic blast. After Enos' death Fry went home with her because he reminded her of Enos. She became attracted to Fry, not knowing that he was actually her own grandson, and ended up sleeping with him.
Since Fry still existed after Enos was killed, Mildred must have already become pregnant before the explosion.
