Lauren Tom provides the voice of Amy Wong. She is also known for her roles as Lena St Clair in the film "The Joy Luck Club" and Julie in the TV series '"Friends." Besides her work in "Futurama" she has also provided voices in many other animated series, including "King of the Hill" and "Codename: Kids Next Door." In addition she has appeared in Broadway and Off-Broadway plays.
The DVD and Blu-ray release of Into the Wild Green Yonder includes a bonus feature showcasing the (fictionalized) process by which Futurama is made titled: "How we make Futurama So Good!". It depicts most of the actual steps essential to create the show, however, according to this feature, every single step from the animation process down to all of the voice acting (even the male character parts) are all performed by Lauren Tom by herself.
