King Kong is a giant gorilla who is supposedly an ally of humanity. He is now very elderly, using a walker, wears a hearing aid, and carries a skeleton of a woman. After the failure of the Anti-Tentacle Blockade of Earth, President Nixon believed all hope was lost and that Kong, who was standing in the Oval Office, was now too old to help stop Yivo from reaching Earth (5ACV07).
