I love this and I'd love to see more. These things rock and I'm going to start slappin' 'em on my page. And maybe adding a link to this page in the UserPage template, for new users to add the boxes... Mind if I make some tweaks? Or add some more? →Buddy← 15:38, 25 December 2006 (PST)

Feel free, Humerbot 0.4 already added one of his own, and I'm sure you have a firm grisp on your own quality standards. I'm currently working on a new batch and I'm going to re-sort this page when I'm done but feel free to tweak things. I'm sure a spot can be made for the boxes on the userpage template. - Quolnok 16:11, 25 December 2006 (PST)

Templates?

Should we make the userboxes templates (like they do on Wikipedia) to make the page neater? --AAA! (AAAA) 21:57, 6 January 2007 (PST)

I did it this way because, as Wikipedia has found, these things can clutter the place up and be difficult to manage. Also this was how hrwiki decided to do it, so I copied the general style of their box page. I suppose we could vote on it. What was that "Trying to prevent overlapping" change you made to the boxes table? It ruined the layout. - Quolnok 23:25, 6 January 2007 (PST)
I was going to suggest the same thing eventually, but Quolnok seems more knowledgeable on the subject, so it's really up to him. Buddy13 FW16.png 11:56, 9 January 2007 (PST)
I'm honestly not sure which is best, sub templates make for cleaner userpages and index page, but the current style is more open to user creativity. If you've looked at my Wikipedia userpage lately you'll have seen my feelings on userbox standardisation. We're a relatively small community in comparison to 'kipedia so we'd likely be able to control the templates better than they do. So, I guess we'll see. - Quolnok 03:41, 10 January 2007 (PST)
Yep, we're moving them. - Quolnok 18:56, 13 January 2007 (PST)

New userboxes

I think there should be more userboxes:

  • "This user is a were-car"
  • "This user watches Futurama instead of sleeping"
  • "This user wishes they worked for DOOP"

That is the only one I can think at the moment, but it would be nice to see more. Thoughts? Chabby

Those are great! How about:

  • "This user loves the tenticle"
  • "This user is a Time-Paradox Duplicate"
  • "This user has memorised the Universal Machine Language Time Code"
  • "This user is a nudist" (With a picture of Nudar or the Naked Scammers)
  • "This user likes Diamondium" or "This user likes "Diamondillium" (You can only have one)-- the preceding unsigned comment was written by Fatt Daddy Inc..
I haven't the time right now, feel free to experiment though. - Quolnok 13:42, 10 August 2008 (CEST)

Yay! I've been experimenting, and have come up with a few. They're hard at work Futurama-ing up my page. Although, I noticed that Chris of the Futurama has had the same idea as me, haha. Also, I'm not quite sure about what the Userbox standards are (i.e. image size); I was wondering if anyone would kindly fill me in? Thanks. --Fatt Daddy Inc. 09:49, 11 August 2008 (CEST)

Image size depends on the image, full screenshots, for instance, are usually about 45px. Tall images need a lower number. Also, two or fewer lines of text are preferred, unless you're changing the text size. Just try to avoid stretching the box and label, really. - Quolnok 12:28, 11 August 2008 (CEST)

How 'bout some newer versions:

  • "This user has read the Old Farmer's Wikipedia"
  • "This user [wants to be apart of / is apart of] the League of Robots"
  • "This user wants to live in Cornwood"
  • "This user wants to be a relative of The Waterfalls"
  • "This user wants to be a Centaur"
  • "This user [wants to be/is] a dirty [boy/girl]!"

This should be fun experimenting. Chris of the Futurama 01:50, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

I demand more boxes!

I know, who am I to demand anything? But I like some of the ideas on this page and would love to add them to my profile page. Expecially one that says "This user is a League-y Weegy" or however you would spell it. -- the preceding unsigned comment was written by Buddy13.

Can you put that in the form of a question? You know, Buddy, if you had the time and the money... wait, it's free, but if you had the time, then you could create them yourself. Just look at how the others are made and learn from their example. But if you are not quick enough, maybe Quolnok will run out here lickety-split and make sure these taxpayers are okay... that's a Firefly quote, by the way. --SvipTalk 23:58, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
Well, it's now on my to do list, but there's plenty of time for you to try it. I might be a while. - Quolnok 02:53, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
As an owner of the Firefly/Serenity series/movie, I knew that. Also, I forgot what I was talking about. And I have no time. I have to wake up at 5am these days. I have a real job and everything, and I have far too much television to watch and books to read and websites to check and porn to watch and useless comments to make and run-on sentences to construct to have any time left for the construction of boxes. I know they're simple, but I love the images that have been chosen to go with the text so far (amazing how many screenshots fit the text so perfectly) and I doubt I could be that clever. I still haven't even put a Wernstrom pic in the Fry family tree (to be fair, the movie was lent out, but now it's back). So yeah. Incredibly lazy/busy. --Buddy 03:51, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Favourite Episodes

I've recently decided that Lethal Inspection is currently my favourite episode. However, when I tried to change my infobox, I couldn't. why? -User:Unit 3.0 19:46, 29 September, 2010.

It piggybacks off Template:Es, which has yet to be updated for the newest season. - Quolnok 02:12, 30 September 2010 (CEST)
Soo...can someone update it? -User:Unit 3.0 17:57, 30 September, 2010.
I know I can't... Fan Futurama 00:00, 1 October 2010 (CEST)
I made it use the code similar to {{e}}, which is constantly updated by the bot. --Sviptalk 00:17, 1 October 2010 (CEST)
Also you are using it wrong. For some reason you have 'es' as your first parameter. The first parameter is the episode name, the second is whether you want to use British or American English. --Sviptalk 00:18, 1 October 2010 (CEST)
