The Main Page has been protected because of vandalism. I wanted to make sure that, if the vandalism weren't immediately reversed, it wouldn't be the first thing a new visitor saw. Visiting the site and being greeted with obscenity, hostility, and verbal abuse generally tends to turn away newcomers.
