• He is based on Isaac Washington, the bartender from The Love Boat.
• iHawk, who appears in "War Is the H-Word", might be a possible relative.
• His name follows the pattern (and parodies) of many Apple products, specifically the iMac, which insert a lower-case "i" before a common word to make a product name. iHawk is another example.
