The Thermion-barrier heat-exclusion spray is an invention created by Professor Farnsworth. Any item that is coated by the spray can survive in extremely high temperatures, e.g. when Zoidberg was covered by the spray he was able to fall into a pool of lava and step out unharmed. Anything coated by the spray is painted gold.
