The Amish, sometimes referred to as Amish Mennonites, are a group of Christian church fellowships that form a subgroup of the Mennonite churches. The Amish are known for simple living, plain dress, and reluctance to adopt many conveniences of modern technology.
By 3011, they are given their own homeworld, presumably due to the rapid advances of technology that happened in that time that used up their land. In "Ghost in the Machines", Philip J. Fry comes to live on their homeworld as part of his therapy, as a robot ghost had been haunting him through Earth electronics.
