In the 20th and 21st centuries, Burt Ward was an actor best known for his portrayal of the superhero sidekick Robin. By 3013, he had been turned into a head in a jar on a robot body, and had been trapped in Mom's flying castle, where Mom conducts genetic experiments.
In 3013, Fry and Bender encountered the heads of Ward and Adam West while on their way to rescue Leela from the tower where she was being kept, and Bender told them to go about their business (7ACV22).
