Silicon Red is the universe's greatest folk singer. He has been convicted thirty times, and was once in a chain gang in Mississippi (7ACV14).
Bender met Red in 3013, after he was released from 11-Worth Variable-Security Prison, and photographed his unique-sounding guitar, which he calls Salmonella, in order to duplicate it and become a folk singer himself. The Planet Express crew was going to see Red perform at the bar T.G.I. Folky's, but his performance was interrupted by Bender. He later performed at Bender's funeral, and rapped with Bender and Big Caboose at the Wong Hotel & Casino.
