Talk:Vaxtron

The name "Vaxtron" for a robot can only be a reference to the VAX line of minicomputers. While it may seem like an obscure reference to someone who doesn't have 20th century computer experience, to old nerds it's one of the most famous and influential computers ever built. (The full name "Vaxtron" could be a reference to Vax + Robotron—the Robotron K was the Eastern bloc clone of the VAX-11, and of course Robotron has all kinds of other connotations (like the robots-kill-all-humans arcade game)—but I don't think there are any former-Eastern-bloc types in the Futurama team.) --172.68.133.23 23:07, 26 July 2017 (CEST)
