Look! It can scale SVG now - wooooooo.

I finally went around and fixed svg files, so they are actually pretty now. And about time, I say! Buddy, you may upload your SVG files now. The badly scaled SVGs around are simply because they were scaled by the old system. I am going to look into a way to "flush" them. --Sviptalk 18:50, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Done and done. I uploaded all the ones I had, so I think that's all of them. Enjoy! Oh, wait, I forgot the crew portrait! Or is that one already SVG...? *runs off to check* --Buddy 23:04, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I uploaded it. It seems smaller than I remember, but I guess I output the PNG at a higher resolution than I actually created it in. I basically traced over the screenshot, so it's at whatever size it was on the screen when watching the show. I'll see if I can scale it up... or should I just leave that to the Wiki software? --Buddy 23:08, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Do what you want. But upscaling it won't do much different anyway. It won't even make it take up more diskspace. It's scalable for a reason! I have already added it to Main Page. --Sviptalk 23:22, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
I know it won't take up more space. Hence the greatness of the SVG. Unless of course I scale it up so much that it requires an extra digit to define the dimensions, which would require an extra byte. I was just thinking it would be more visible if a bit larger. But yeah, it won't make much difference, since we can specify dimensions when using the image, which should scale just fine via the software, right? --Buddy 23:32, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Not sure what you are asking at the end there. But I was thinking of doing what Wikipedia does (well, Wikimedia, since it is also their other wikis), by having links to 4 default defined resolutions of SVG images, usually x500, x1000, x5000, x10000 or something. I'll look into it. --Sviptalk 23:34, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
