Account Creation

I just created a new account, but now I can't log in. What's wrong? 62.169.101.12 19:56, 1 October 2010 (CEST)

ANYONE? 62.169.127.228 00:16, 2 October 2010 (CEST)
What is your login? Did you ensure the passwords matches? There may also be case sensitive issues, if your name contains capital letters that is not the first letter, ensure to capitalise them as well. --Sviptalk 12:42, 2 October 2010 (CEST)
When I type in an incorrect password on purpose, there is a login error. But when I use the right one, it just sends me back to other page. (The Recent Changes, in this case.) So that's not the problem. I think it has something to do with creating the account while logged in User:Fan Futurama. 62.169.119.122 12:58, 2 October 2010 (CEST)
Try to create a new one (when logged out) and see how that goes. Aki 14:52, 2 October 2010 (CEST)
I had thought of it, but I really didn't want to lose that username in the first day. Do any of you know what might be going on? 62.169.119.122 or Fan Futurama 15:32, 2 October 2010 (CEST)
No problems here. 62.169.78.162 15:34, 2 October 2010 (CEST)
Oops. Sorry. It turns out there's the same problem here. I can only log in with User:Fan Futurama. Fan Futurama 15:39, 2 October 2010 (CEST)
Why do you need an additional user anyway, btw? Aki 20:26, 2 October 2010 (CEST)
Clear your cookies. That seems to be why. It must be confusing your accounts due to your session cookies and thus not logging you in to prevent fraud, even if it is a false positive. Alternative, try using a different browser for that account. --Sviptalk 20:44, 2 October 2010 (CEST)
There, it worked. Thanks a lot, Svip. I'd had it with that login trouble. Aki, the answer to your question is pretty simple: Fan Futurama is a really dumb name. I think it was time to use a new one. San Saber 22:55, 2 October 2010 (CEST)
I see. With the (somewhat little) I know of MediaWiki I'm sure you could have asked Svip to change the name in the database, though. :P Aki 11:52, 3 October 2010 (CEST)
Yeah, I thought of that too. But I just wanted to star over, kinda like rebooting your computer. That would have been the call, if the username was the only problem... San Saber 12:21, 3 October 2010 (CEST)
